Wild Nature Outfitters

Tools and Gear that we've tested, teach, and recommend
Shop Local and pick-up at Wild Nature Project.
Over the years people have asked us what we recommend and then where to find it. We've now made it easier by opening up our own small gear store.

Look through some of our inventory below (more options in-person). The next time you're at Wild Nature Project just ask to check out the Outfitters store!
Currently we are not offering online orders, only in-person.
Email kevin@wildnatureproject.com to schedule pick-up.

Morakniv Basic 546 Knife

$12.95

3.5" blade, stainless steel, plastic sheath with belt clip

We recommend these for several reasons:
1. they come sharp which means easier to use
2. durability
3. affordability (if you lose it you aren't out a lot of money)

3 Color Options:
1. Teal
2. Black/Orange
3. Blue

Morakniv Companion

$21.95

4" blade, stainless steel, plastic sheath with belt clip. These make for a great affordable survival knife.

What's the difference between this one and the basic 546?
1. It has a larger and longer blade which is better for "batoning" (splitting sticks and wood).
2. Larger blade means more surface area and durability for crafts and carving projects.
3. Different handle design that some prefer and others don't.

3 Color Options:
1. Orange
2. Green
3. Magenta

Marakniv Companion Spark

$34.95

Fire and knife all in one! This companion knife has been upgraded to include a magnesium striker stored in the handle. 4" stainless steel blade with plastic sheet and belt clip.

Comes in 2 colors:
1. Red/Black
2. Black

Compact Pull-through Sharpener by AccuSharp

$13.95

This is essential for anyone who owns a knife. Sharpen your knives quickly with this small and easily portable sharpener, even kitchen knives.

Schrade Ferro Rod

$7.95

4" overall, 2 3/8" rod with striker. (these work way better when you use your knife blade)

This is a fun way to light a campfire! It does require knowing how to make your own tinder which is something we cover in our classes. It still works even if you drop it in water!

Natrapel Mosquito Repellent

$6.95

Lemon Eucalyptus mosquito repellent is a great natural alternative to DEET products. Nothing works 100% but we've found this product works pretty darn well.

Each application works up to 6 hours.

550 Parachute Cord 100 feet

$7.95

Durable 7 strand braided nylon rope. Rated to hold 550lbs. This rope is excellent for so many uses... tying tarps, bowdrill rope, shoestrings, tying down tents, hanging bear bags, etc.

It's always a good idea to have some quality rope in your backpack.

Silky F180 Pro Folding Saw 180mm

$37.95

Aside from a knife this is probably the tool we use the most during our classes. While we can get by without one should the need arise, a folding saw can easily fit in your backpack and save you lots of time on projects, crafts, and firewood.

There are many more items available in our outfitters shop (hatchets, space blankets, glow sticks, compasses, etc.) located at Wild Nature Project.
The next time you're here just ask to check it out and see what we have in stock.
If you want to schedule a time to check it out just email kevin@wildnatureproject.com
