The Art of Community

"Most people's lives are a direct reflection of the expectations of their peer group."
-Tony Robbins

Building connections to...
    1. Nature
        2. Self
            3. Others
Our sense of community begins with our peer group; those that we relate to, those that we spend time with, those that we love and support, and those that know us and understand us.
This page is dedicated to answering the questions of why and how do we build community. It's not so much about buying land together and living in co-housing, but rather that feeling of having a like-minded, multi-aged supportive group of people who together stretch us to be our best selves and show up more fully for life. To us, this is where community begins and once you have these close relations then so much more is possible.

Inner-Tracking Group Class
Inner tracking is when we turn our perception inward to track what is happening within us; our beliefs, strategies, and choices.

Living with a strong and healthy sense of community in our lives requires that we do some "inner-work".
We can't just expect everyone else to do all the changing while we stay the same! The reality is that we are not actually changing... instead we are becoming who we truly are at our core.
The goal is to meet our needs in high-quality ways and improve the "mental-game" aspect to life so that we can show up more fully for ourselves, others, and the future generations.

The Art of Community: The Mentor in the Village

What is a mentor and what does it mean to be a mentor? Where does it show up in our culture today and how do we bring mentoring back into our circles?

This workshop will look at the mentor as a key role in creating healthy relationships, sense of community, knowing oneself, and connecting to place. The skills and practice of mentoring can be applied to just about any environment including classrooms and schools, parenting, family dynamics, the workplace, and in facilitating connective and bonding experiences among people of all ages.

When we build our skill-sets and reclaim our role as a mentor, we can create a profoundly creative and fun environment of learning and growth for ourselves, our friends, our circles, and our community. An environment that also brings out the best of who we are and allows us to give and serve others. Who benefits from healthy and creative mentors? Everyone... kids, adults, parents, elders, and the future generations.

On Community...
What does it mean to strengthen your sense of community? To some, it means living in a shared space. In the context of this class however, sense of community is about how we relate to those around us, how we build stronger bonds, greater connection, lasting trust and understanding. It's about understanding the strengths and gifts that we bring to the table and seeing others for their gifts and strengths.
